Apphold 1.0.1-beta.1 Is Available
Apphold 1.0.1-beta.1 is out. It carries everything from 1.0.1-alpha.1 — the installable PWA, the rebuilt stylesheet, the mobile layout fixes and the per-installation cookie names — plus two fixes that came out of running the alpha.
Cookie Names Survive a Cached Configuration
The alpha scoped the session and “remember me” cookie names to each installation so two Apphold instances on the same domain stop logging each other out. That scoping was computed at a point where a cached configuration had already been loaded, so on a production instance running config:cache the names fell back to the shared defaults and the collision came back. The names are now derived before the cached configuration is read, so the isolation holds in production too.
Higher Contrast and Cleaner Tables
The interface pass from the alpha went further:
- Text and controls were darkened again where they still sat below the target ratio, so the whole interface — not just the navigation and the primary buttons — clears the accessibility threshold.
- Table headers, row borders and cell spacing were simplified, so long lists read as rows of data instead of a grid of boxes.
- The header is shorter, which gives the content more room on laptop screens.
How to Update
Update from the admin settings inside the app, or download the release from GitHub. Back up your database and your configuration first — see the updating guide for the full procedure.
This is a beta release. If something breaks, open an issue — that is what turns a beta into a stable release.
